Role Overview
Storage assistant helps to manage the flow of products and stock through the warehouse. Also, he is responsible for receiving and sending goods to and from the warehouse.
Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Assisting in the receiving, storing, and organizing of supplies and inventory, ensuring items are correctly labeled and stored according to hotel standards
- Monitoring stock levels and ensuring that the hotel has adequate inventory of materials, linens, cleaning supplies, and food and beverage products
- Keeping accurate records of all incoming and outgoing goods, updating inventory systems as necessary to ensure accuracy
- Checking deliveries against orders, ensuring items are in good condition, and reporting any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor
- Assisting in performing regular stock checks and inventory counts, including monthly and annual physical inventories, to ensure proper stock rotation and minimize wastage
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe storage area, ensuring all items are stored securely and in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Coordinating with other departments (e.g., housekeeping, F&B, maintenance) to ensure supplies are delivered on time and meet departmental needs
- Assisting in the management of perishable goods, ensuring proper storage conditions and managing stock to reduce spoilage
- Ensuring that storage areas meet hotel hygiene, safety, and security standards and performing regular checks for cleanliness and order
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Very good knowledge of English language.
